How do you fix the Encode lock if you continually receive "Keypad Tamper" notification from the Schlage home app?

Please follow the troubleshooting instructions listed below. 

  1. Remove the inside assembly from the door.
  2. Disconnect the wire coming from the front keypad and the motor.
  3. Follow the wire on the inside assembly to the circuit board and gently press the wire into place. You may or may not hear the wire click into place.
  4. Reconnect the wires between the door.
  5. Reinstall the inside assembly.
  6. Perform a soft reset on your lock by removing and reinserting the battery pack into the lock. after you have inserted the battery pack lock and unlock the unit using the interior thumbturn.
  7. The unit will light up and beep. 
  8. If the above troubleshooting did not resolve the issue, perform a Factory Default Reset on the lock and then set the unit back up on the app.
