How do we achieve NL OP with the Falcon 24 R device?

There are two opions that would allow Night Latch function using an independently mounted pull, often referenced as NL-OP, when ordering (F)-24-R Rim or (F)-24-V Surface Vertical Rod devices.

  • If a (F)-24-R-NL-OP or (F)-24-V-NL-OP is ordered, the cylinder can be installed directly to the door following template T-4048 (Metal Door) or W4048 (Wood Door).  Note that these templates require the cylinder to be mounted with the keyway oriented horizontally rather than vertically to hide the mounting screws for the cylinder under the centercase of the exit device.
  • If a (F)-24-R-C or (F)-24-V-C is ordered, a 718C-R/V trim is supplied to allow mounting the cylinder to this trim with the keyway in a vertical orientation per these instructions.

Either of these options can be added to a (F)-24-R-EO or (F)-24-V-EO device.
