The Schlage Encode Plus ™ Smart WiFi Deadbolt is compatible with iOS and Android devices via the Schlage Home app. It is also Apple HomeKit and home keys compatible which is managed using the Apple Home app on iOS devices.
Users can simultaneously pair and manage their Schlage Encode Plus smart lock in both the Schlage Home app and Apple Home app to experience the benefits and functionality of these solutions together, which also makes it ideal for homes with multiple phone and device types and a variety of smart home system preferences.
To enjoy the full functionality and get the best setup experience, we recommend starting in the Schlage Home app then linking your Schlage Encode Plus lock to your Apple Home app via the Schlage Home app Works With menu guided instructions for Apple HomeKit.
Start by downloading or opening the Schlage Home app and selecting to add a new lock via the Schlage Home app. You will be guided through physical installation and initial pairing to your home WiFi network for easy remote access management. Once your Schlage Encode Plus deadbolt is paired to your Schlage Home app and home WiFi network, from your iPhone, you can easily navigate to the Works With section of the Schlage Home app to select Apple HomeKit and follow the onscreen prompts to pair your lock to the Apple Home app as well.
