How do I link an AD400?

  1. ALWAYS put the PIM400 in LINK mode first. On a PIM400-TD2 press the LINK1 Button for door one, and LINK2 button for door 2. With a PIM400-485 you must use the SUS/HHD to select which door to LINK.
  2. Open the door
  3. Create a request-to-exit condition by holding down the inside lever or crash bar.(If using a crash bar, Request to Exit(RTX) must be installed.  If RTX is not installed, temporarily short the RTX input on the lock main PCB during this procedure.
  4. While holding down the lever or crash bar, present a credential to the reader or press the "#" key if it has a keypad.
  5. Continue holding the lever until the Schlage button starts to blink green(approximately 8 seconds).
  6. Release the lever or crash bar.  The Schlage button will continue to blink during the process.
  7. When the operation is complete either the green light will blink and it will beep a number of times to indicate the lock id number or will blink red and give 5 short beeps to indicate that the process failed.

Lights Beeps Action
1 Red, 1 Green 0 One link request was sent to find a PIM400 in link mode.  This will repeat once and then the lock will stop trying to find a PIM400.
