How do I get the L9000 series off the door if the inside bushing keeps spinning and the lever does not back off the mounting plate?

This may be due to a broken mounting plate on the inside. You will have to cut away the inside rose or escutcheon to expose the two mounting screws that attach to the mounting post. This will allow you to remove the inside and mounting plate as one unit. You will have to replace both the lever and the inside mounting plate.
