How can I tell if I have a ALX or ND series lock on my door?
Although the ALX series and the ND series use the same levers and roses, you can tell the difference between the two series by removing the lever and rose and looking at the spring cages. The ALX series spring cage has raised ribs on the surface whereas the ND series spring cage has a smooth surface. Additionally, the ALX series spindle has a more squared off or boxed shape whereas the ND series spindle has more of a circular shape.
