How Can I Have Free Ingress From Pull Side With Chexit?

For 98/9975 Mortise devices:

Because the mortise lock is decoupled from the pushpad blocking mechanism ,  L/NL trim will allow free ingress while the latch while the Chexit is armed. Note that if the Chexit uses a door position switch, the alarm will still sound when the door is opened.  For this case, use the RX 996L-M trim; it has a switch that toggles when the lever is rotated, and can be used to inhibit the Chexit.

For Rim or Vertical Devices:

The latch bolt is physically blocked from retracting while the Chexit is armed.  Therefore,  there are no trim options that will allow free ingress.
The RX 996L trim will not help because the lever can not rotate to actuate the switch.
A pushbutton or access control device is needed to inhibit the Chexit to allow ingress.
