How to Control My Schlage Encode Remotely?

The Schlage Encode Series offers remote control functionality, allowing you to manage your lock from anywhere. Each lock in the Encode Series—the Encode, Encode Plus, and Encode Lever—is equipped with both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities. Additionally, the Encode Plus offers Apple HomeKit integration for enhanced smart home compatibility.

Requirements for Remote Control

To control your Schlage Encode lock remotely, you will need:

• A Schlage Encode Smart Lock that is:
   
  • Paired to the Schlage Home app
  • Connected to your home/local Wi-Fi network
  • Powered with four AA batteries

  • Paired to Apple HomeKit for Encode Plus models exclusively

    Note: To remotely manage your Schlage Encode Plus Smart Lock using the Apple Home app exclusively, you will need an Apple Home Pod or alternate Apple Hub.

• A Smartphone that has:
   
  • The Schlage Home app installed
  • An active internet connection via cellular or Wi-Fi

Pairing the Lock to Your Phone:

Important: Without pairing the lock at its physical location, remote control capabilities cannot be activated.
