First, you
need to back up the database from the existing installation. Go to the Database
tab and click the Backup database button. This will create a backup file that
you will place in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data.
There you
will find a file that looks like this: RsiBio2DBMonday, June 30,
2014_11_23_4...
Copy and
save this file to a thumb drive or other backup method.
Install
Handnet Lite onto your new machine. Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data again and place the RSI backup file into the Data
folder. Keep Handnet closed until you are finished loading the file.
Open the new
Handnet Lite installation, go to the Database tab and click: Restore Database.
Then click the large button at the top labeled “Click when you are finished
with Database Operations.”
Restart
Handnet Lite and your users and settings should be accessible.
