NOTE: This applies to F360 and F60 (old style chassis) handlesets.
Issue: This is caused by the chassis tab on the interior lever being in the wrong position.
Solution: You will need to remove the two screws retaining the lever and remove the lever from the door. If you then turn the lever around in your hand, directly in the center of the rose (the round plate that goes against the door), you will see a chassis tab (round washer with a beveled square and small tabs on opposite sides), which will look like below.
If you simply insert the end of your little finger into the beveled square and rock the chassis tab 90 degrees, and then replace the lever on the door, the lever will work when it is depressed, but not when lifted. As indicated, the tab at the top should point to the edge of the door where the latch emerges
If the instructions above do not resolve the issue, there may be a mechanical issue with your lock. Please call the warranty department at 888-805-9837 for trouble shooting.
