Gateway and LE/NDE LINKING (with any ENGAGE Device)

LINKING with ENGAGE mobile became possible in June 2016 with ENGAGE 4.1. Training for ENGAGE 4.1 iOS is HERE, and ANDROID is HERE.

Putting the LE/NDE/LOCK in LINK mode is very similar to the AD-Series, hold insider lever down, present a card and wait about ten seconds for the RED/GREEN LED blinks.

Putting Gateway in LINK mode can be either an Access Control Software command or a ENGAGE mobile command with the June 2016 ENGAGE 4.1. For ENGAGE 4.1 see KC 129105.

To LINK with an Access Control Software command the access control system must COMMUNICATE with the Gateway to give the LINK command.

For COMMUNICATION from the Access Control Software to the Gateway, you need,
1) Gateway must be commissioned in the partner account to communicate, and LE/NDE must be commissioned in the same account to LINK
2) Gateway must have RSI or IP mode operational (Host Properties are set)

3) The Access Control HOST should be installed and operational and communicating with the Gateway

With proper Access Control software polling to the Gateway, the Gateway back panel RX/TX RED/GREEN LEDs will both blink, or in IP mode Yellow/Green will blink

4) NDE must have firmware FW 02.04.17 or newer, (LE supports from first launch FW version)

Access Control software communication to Gateway is indicated with,

1) Access Control software shows the Gateway "On-Line" indicating communication

2) RX/TX RED/GREEN LEDs are both blinking or the Ethernet Green/Yellow are both blinking indicating communication
