Finish Care and Cleaning of External Trim

For lacquered or clear-coated finishes, use a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe away dirt. These substances can quickly damage protective coatings, leading to rapid oxidation and discoloration of the finish.

To maintain the quality of these finishes, start with periodic cleaning using a mild, non-abrasive soap. After cleaning, lightly buff the surface with a soft cloth to restore its shine.

To restore the original shine and satin finish, apply a high-grade chrome polish. Ensure you follow the manufacturer's directions for best results.

Lightly dampen a soft cloth with a small amount of vegetable oil and wipe the surface. Be careful not to use too much oil, as excess may leave a residue that can transfer onto your hands.

To restore the high metal color, you may use household detergents and a mild abrasive powder. These will help clean the surface without significantly affecting the metal's original composition.

After cleaning, apply a paste wax and rub it into the surface to enhance the shine and provide additional protection.
