ON-LINE devices and ENGAGE Partner Accounts
All ENGAGE ON-LINE devices must be commissioned to an ENGAGE Partner Account.
ENGAGE Partner accounts will commission and set up the ON-LINE devices; but will NOT have Access Control tabs for USERS, LOCKS, and Credential enrollment.
The partner Access Control Software will manage access control for the ON-LINE ENGAGE devices.
The Gateway and the all NDE LINKED to the Gateway must be commissioned in an ENGAGE Partner Account because they will operate ON-LINE
IP and RSI MODE
We should divide ON-LINE ENGAGE management into two fundamental types, RSI (RS-485) and IP (Ethernet)
RSI Mode ON-LINE ENGAGE Devices are managed with the LEGACY RS-485 commands, so the ENGAGE Partner Account can be established by the integrator and installer.
- The Installation Instructions provided the LINK to sign up for a Partner Account using RS-485 control.
- http://portal.allegionengage.com/partner.... is the link to open a Partner Account for using the legacy RS-485 communication. This type of account will not support IP (Ethernet) communication installations.
- Click on the "Using Alliance Partner Software?" Sign Up Here and enter the new Partner account information.
- Use a fresh, never before used email address to launch every new ENGAGE account/site. Once have made the site you can invite any email as an ADMIN/MANAGER/OPERATOR
- You must confirm your verification email, by clicking the link
- Install ENGAGE on your mobile device from the App Store or Google Play and log into the account with your email and password
IP (Ethernet) ON-LINE communication requires commissioning in an established IP Partner Account which supports IP operation.
You must join IP type accounts via invites from the Partner providing the Access Control management software in IP mode
All ADMIN, MANAGERS and OPERATORS must join IP Partners Accounts with email invites. Ask the Access Control Partner for an ENGAGE Account invite email
Joining a Partner Account that supports IP (Ethernet) operation is easy,
1) Accept your invite email by clinking on the LINK in the email, follow the instructions to enter your email, password and name,
2) Install ENGAGE on your mobile device from the APP Store or Google Play and log into the account with your email and password
ENGAGE Mobile application
Once you have the ENGAGE mobile application loaded on your mobile phone or pad, you can commission and configure the Gateway and NDE devices.
Open ENGAGE and log in, If you belong to more than one site, ENGAGE will provide a site section window for you to pick which site you want to open.
This selection window will will include a mix of original ENGAGE Managed accounts, and ENGAGE Partner accounts if you belong to both type of accounts.
