Does the Von Duprin E373LBE has cylinder override?

No, the Von Duprin E370 Series Controls do NOT allow for cylinder override.

The solenoid used to electrically lock/unlock the control is located where the cylinder would be on a mechanical version.

The E370 Series controls must be ordered Blank Escutcheon (BE) and are available as either Fail Safe or Fail Secure.

Examples of E370 Series Controls:

  • E371L-BE
  • E373L-BE
  • E376L-BE
  • E374T-BE
  • E376T-BE
  • E377T-BE

For Double Door applications, an electrified control could be used on one door (call it the active door) and a mechanical control could be used on the other door (call it the inactive door).

During the installation of the mechanical 370L or 370T Series Control, it can be setup for NL function (key temporarily unlocks the lever or thumbturn - always locked  when key is removed).
