Install lock (including outside lever and cylinder) except inside lever.
From inside, rotate key cam counter clockwise until it stops.
Now rotate key cam clockwise to a vertical (12:00 and 6:00 position) for Conventional cylinders or rotate the key cam clockwise to a horizontal (9:00 and 3:00 position) for IC cores.
Install cylinder and lever.
For conventional cylinder, rotate key 90° while installing lever and cylinder.
For IC core, install the lever, then using a control key, install the core and tailpiece
Check operation
Outside and inside keys should rotate 180° counter clockwise to lock
Outside and inside keys should rotate 180° clockwise to unlock
