A Kerfed Frame is a frame that is formed with an optional integral pocket or recess in the area of the stop to receive gasket, seals or weather stripping.
Kerfed frames are available as an optional feature:
Maximum 3 hour fire rating approval up to an 8'0" x 8'0" opening size.
Tested and approved per ASTM E-331 for water penetration up to 34 mph with the supplied weatherstripping installed.
*Steelcraft has not tested and does not have any thermal ratings for the Kerf frame option to our various frame series. All thermal ratings listed in the tech data manual are based on the standard frame profiles.
