Does a SEH require a door closer?

The SEH is an "electronic holder" (ONLY) that is used to hold open a Fire Rated opening. It requires a door closer to be mounted on the opposite side. It is normally used on an existing opening with an existing closer.

SEH:

  • 1/8 " reveal max.
  • Can be templated for hold open between 80° and 100°(max) - no 180° swing.
  • Arm part number -- 4040SEH - 3077SEH.
  • DE (double egress) arm NOT available.
  • Available as 24VAC/VDC or as 120VAC.
  • Built in Test/Release switch.
  • Roller included with the track.

ST-3165 is used to template the SEH holder and a swing clear hinge.
