Does a Factory Reset on the Schlage Connect Series Exclude the Lock from the Z-Wave Hub?

No, performing a factory reset on your Schlage Connect Series lock will not exclude it from the Z-Wave hub.

How to Exclude Your Connect Lock

To properly exclude the lock, follow the exclusion process through the app of your Z-Wave hub (refer to the app’s instructions for excluding devices).

  1. Review the instructions or app that came with your Z-Wave system controller to understand how to initiate "Remove" or "Exclude" mode.
  2. Once your Z-Wave controller is in "Remove" or "Exclude" mode:
  3. Press the Schlage logo on the keypad.
  4. Enter the 6-digit programming code.
  5. Press 0.

The lock will indicate the result:

  • A green check means the lock was successfully excluded.
  • A red X means the exclusion process failed.

Forced Exclusion for ZP Models Only

If the app-based exclusion does not work, you can perform a forced exclusion on ZP models:

  1. Press and hold the Enroll/Unenroll button.
  2. Wait until the light blinks green, indicating the lock has been excluded.
