Do I need to wire the AUX and ALARM relay outputs on the WRI400?

When the WRI400 is LINKED to a PIM400-485: some Access Control Panels have the capability to command the WRI400 AUX relay to activate.

There is an AUX relay command defined in the RSI-485 protocol, and some Access Control Panels can send this separate AUX relay command to the PIM400-485 for the WRI400. The AUX relay command is independent of the "Strike" unlock command and is entirely dependent on the ACP capability.

Contact your ACP manufacturer to determine if the ACP can transmits a WRI400 AUX relay command to the PIM400-485.

When the ACP controls the WRI400 with a PIM400-485 the ACP can transmit RED LED, GREEN LED and READER BEEP commands to control the reader LEDs and BEEPER.
Many READERS are ordered and configured to control their own LED blinks and BEEPs.
Contact your ACP manufactures to determine if the ACP transmits Reader LED and BEEP commands.

When the ACP controls the WRI400 with a PIM400-485 the WRI400 will send TAMP1 (RDR tamper) TAMP2 (RDR tamper), RTE, RTX, TAMPER (lid tamper) and DPS information back to the PIM400-485 and the ACP.
Contact your ACP manufacturer to determine id the ACP will report the TAMP1, TAMP2, RTE, RTX, TAMPER and DPS status.

WRI400 when LINKED to a PIM400-TD2;

The PIM400-TD2 has only a ACP "Strike" input, so the ACP cannot issue a "AUX" relay closure to the PIM400-TD2 linked to the WRI400.
When a WRI400 is LINKED to a PIM400-TD2 there is no ACP control of READER LED blinks or BEEPs.
Many READERs are ordered and configured to control their own LED blinks and BEEPs.
When the WRI400 is LINKED to a PIM400-TD2 the reader TAMP1 and TAMP2 are not reported. RTE, RTX, DPS and TROUBLE (WRI400 Lid Tamper) are reported as logic levels on the PIM400-TD2 connector J10 or J11.
