The Schlage RC has a built-in accelerometer that functions as a tamper sensor. This tamper alert is enabled by default once the reader successfully contacts Pure Access Cloud for the first time. If the reader is powered up and not mounted to a non-moving surface, the tamper can trigger, and the reader will start emitting a solid beep.
This tamper can be disabled to mute the beep using the Pure Access Cloud software:
1) Click on the Access Points (Door Icon) on the left side of the screen.
2) Find the Access Point in the list.
3) Click on the three dots to the far right of that access point’s row.
4) Select “Edit Device Settings”
5) Click the “Beeper Sounds” dropdown.
6) Click to deselect “Tamper Event”.
7) Click “Next” and then save the selections.
More information can be found in the Pure Access Cloud manual here.
