Trimco launched a lockdown hardware specifically for 98/99 and 33A/35A devices. In response
to this, please take note of the following:
This design creates a situation where anyone, even those without proper authority, can
just easily lock down the devices and prevent access.
This constitutes a modification to UL listed panic hardware, thereby invalidating our UL
Label.
The use of unauthorized aftermarket parts on these devices also voids the Von Duprin
warranty.
Von Duprin offers lockdown solutions, including dogging with security indicators, that meet or
exceed the requirements of industry accepted standards. We will also be launching in Q1 2018
a remote undogging option (RU) that enhances perimeter security.
