Codes are accepted by Keypad, but it won't unlock (blinks Green)

Issue:  The User Codes will not unlock the keypad lock.  The Schlage Light blinks Green after a code is entered.  

Environment:  

  • BE365 Keypad Deadbolt
  • FE575 Auto Lock Keypad
  • FE595 Flex Lock Keypad
  • New or Existing Installation
Resolution:  
  1. Verify the installation is complete and correct.  You can see a video showing the installation by selecting your product below (opens in a new window).  Especially watch for the placement of the cam.
  2. On Keypad Levers (FE575 and FE595) verify the following:
    • Open the door
    • Rotate the Inside Lever down and see that the latch retracts.
    • If the latch does not retract, contact customer service as listed below.
  3. Once you've verified the lock is installed completely and correctly, try a User Code.
  4. If the User Code did not work, Perform a Factory Default Reset (opens in a new window).  
  5. Try a fresh battery, especially if using lithium or other non-high quality batteries.  For more information on batteries see this article (opens in a new window).
