Can the LX switch be used with the XP exit device?

Standard Von Duprin LX switch kits are not compatible with the XP98/99 device.

The LX switch in an XP device is mounted in the center case.  It monitors the position of the rear portion of the split latch bolt.  When the rear portion of the latch bolt is depressed by the strike roller, the switch is in one state.  When the door opens and the rear portion of the latchbolt is extended, the switch changes state.

The LX switch is not field installable on an XP device.  It must be ordered from the factory installed on a complete device, or as an LX-XP center case assembly (a custom product).

The LX switch for an XP device is always furnished as LX-LC, low current version.  This is compatible with all applications, not just low current applications.
