Can the exterior of a BE489 be combined with the interior of a BE499?

Unfortunately the lock would not work as intended due to the differences with the apple features being available on the BE499 and not available on the BE489.  This may lead to problems with the keypad and due to these differences we do not recommend mixing the components for these products.
