For the motor driven Chexit devices and DE5300 Delayed Egress Controllers manufactured after 8-24-2015
The Alarm and Secure relays can be used as Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) Dry contact outputs to signal an external item based on the condition of the device.
The Alarm and Secure relay contacts can be configured as Wet contact outputs by connecting the common (C) wire of that relay to the Red Wire (+24VDC) of the Field Wiring Cable.
As Wet contacts, these relays can power items that draw up to 1A @ 24VDC (such as an external horn or light).
For the solenoid driven Chexit devices and DE5101 Delayed Egress Controllers manufactured before 8-24-2015
The Alarm relay contact is a Normally Open (NO) Dry contact output that closes when the device goes into an alarm status.
The Alarm relay contact can be configured as a Wet contact output by connecting the Blue (C) wire to the Red Wire (+24VDC) of the 10 Wire Cable.
The Brown (NO) wire can then be used to power items that draw up to 1A @ 24VDC (such as an external horn or light).
These devices did not have a Secure Relay.
