Can Steelcraft doors be prepped for the 98/9949 Concealed Vertical Cable Exit Device?

Yes, as an option, Steelcraft doors are available with factory prepared for the 98/9949 Concealed Vertical Cable Exit Device.

  1. L, B, CE, T and CE-Series doors are available factory prepared
  2. Door preparation is different than the conventional CVR preps
  3. Field modification of doors is not recommended due to the preparation difference. New doors are recommended.

Factory installation for the cable system is also available as an option:

  • Device must be ordered from Von Duprin.
  • Strikes for frame also shipped with door.

Steelcraft does not install the 98/9949 device only the cable system.

Doors are available UL Fire rated and prepared for the 98/9949 Concealed Vertical Cable Exit Device.  Fire rated doors available in paired opening only. Single doors not available fire rated.
