Can smart locks be set to lock at scheduled times?

Using the Apple Home app and a Homekit connection to the Schlage Encode Plus (BE499) you can set routines. An example of this would be to automatically unlocks at 5:30pm everyday when you arrive home or automatically locks at 10pm to ensure your home is secure at night. 

 

Some Schlage locks are compatible with Amazon Alexa, which allows you to create Routines. With a Routine, you can schedule the smart deadbolt to lock at designated times. 

The following Schlage smart locks can be included in your Alexa Routines to lock your door at set times:

  • The Schlage Sense® Smart Deadbolt (BE479), when paired with Schlage Sense® WiFi Adapter (BR400), works with compatible Alexa-enabled devices for locking with voice control.
  • The Schlage Connect® Smart Deadbolt with Zigbee technology (BE468GB) pairs directly to an Echo Plus or other Alexa devices with a built-in Zigbee hub.
  • The Schlage Connect Smart Deadbolt with Alarm and Z-Wave Plus technology (BE469ZP) pairs with Alexa through a compatible Z-Wave hub such as Samsung SmartThings, which works with both the lock and Alexa. 
  • The Schlage Encode™ Smart WiFi Deadbolt (BE489) pairs directly with the Schlage® Home app and Key by Amazon App to enable Alexa voice commands.
