Can I use a L9000 Gen1 or Gen2 sectional indicator with hospital push pull paddles?

You cannot order the HL6-9000 with a Gen2 indicator or 09-611 Chevron style indicator. 

Exception: the HL6-9486 by default ships with the 09-611 Chevron style indicator.



When using sectional Gen2 indicators ordered separately:

  • The Gen2 sectional indicators indicators can be paired with the HL6-9000 lock, but the paddles must be mounted horizontally.
  • The difficulties with Gen1 indicator install when using HL6-9000 paddles are resolved with the Gen2 indicators.

There are challenges that must be overcome when trying to use the Gen1 indicator (discontinued) with the HL6-9000.  (See image below on left):

  • The push/pull paddles will have to be mounted horizontally
  • The L9000 emergency(privacy) and cointurn indicator rose has a trim screw located on the bottom that will be difficult to install with the paddle cover in place
  • the HL6-9000 cover has a trim screw directly below the indicator that will be difficult to install with the L9000 indicator in place

When using 09-611 Chevron style indicator (Image below on right):

  • The 09-611 Chevron style indicator can be paired with the HL6-9000 lock, but the paddles must be mounted horizontally.
