Can I mount my CO-Series mortise version lockset so that the inside lever is in the vertical orientation ?

Resolution:

 

CO lock design has been updated to allow vertical “Inside” lever orientation

This new feature will be highlighted in the NEXT Price Book (after Book 24)

This new feature will be at NO COST as the mounting plate design now allows either orientation

The Build Out (product being shipped from the factory) was updated at the factory in MAY of 1012, so all product shipped after May 2012 should already have this update

For those who want to upgrade to the new plate they can order the new version using the existing Part # along with Revision B (24113953 Rev B)

For CO-Series mortise applications the inside mounting plate can be used without modification for vertical lever installation. Just rotate the inside mounting plate 90 degrees so that the "TOP" indicator is at the left or right hand side of the plate when mounted. The mounting holes in the inside mounting plate (for the mortise application) are symetric and will allow mounting in this 90 degree rotated position.
