Can a Zero Automatic Door Bottom (ADB) be used on a sliding door?

Yes, Zero ADBs can be used on sliding doors. However, the operation may not be ideal and should be reviewed prior to confirming the solution.

When an ADB is used on a sliding door,  the spring force on the plunger may push the sliding door open slightly.
To prevent this, a positive latch may be needed on the sliding door.
Some latching mechanisms may require the user to hold the door shut while activating the latch.
This may not be acceptable depending upon the application.

Contact Allegion Product Support for further assistance in selecting the right ADB for this application.
