A E996 conversion kit is required to convert the 996L/L-BE trim to E996L/L-BE electric trim.
These kits come with the standard E996 installation instructions.
The first section of those instructions show how to disassemble the trim to the point where you would swap the slider out and install the blocking mechanism with the solenoid attached.
