Can a Schlage Full Size Interchangeable Core be ordered 0-bitted?
The default pinning on Schlage Full Size Interchangeable Cores (FSIC) is 1-bitted even when 0-bitted is requested. This is due to a 0-bitted core being very difficult to remove if installed into a lock or housing as there are no cuts on the control key to grab the pins and extract the core.
EXCEPTION PROCESS:
Orders can be placed for a 0-bitted FSIC by requesting the 50-001 keyed alike to a specified combination of 000000, e.g. 23-030 626 C 50-001 KA 000000. Technically, the 50-001 charge does not apply to FSIC cores, but must be utilized here, to clearly indicate we are providing 0-bitted.
