Schlage cylinders can be stamped with the bitting, however this practice is not encouraged. It means that if the cylinder were ever rekeyed, the stamping would not match the way it is keyed.
To request bitting stamped on the cylinder, the 50-216 charge for concealed key control (CKC) would apply. Bitting may only be stamped on the side of the cylinder not the face. Also, the request to have the bitting stamped on the side must be clearly stated.
