Can a PS902 be installed on its back, in a space built beneath the door, with the batteries laying on their backs? Are they sealed batteries?

The batteries are sealed and can be installed placed on their backs.  The problem with placing a power supply on its back is that the heat generated by the power supply has no where to go because the lid, which is now up, has no holes in it to let the heat dissipate.  If the lid is drilled with holes in it, and placed in the floor, be careful water or moisture does not get into the power supply by these new holes.

Installing the power supply as shown in the instructions will provide the best longevity  for operation.
