Yes; but not recommended. ReLinking should always follow any hardware replacement.
if the pims were configured identically channel /Unique id then separately linked to the same Reader (WA..) you could lose power on one pim then simply power up the other and it should reestablish the link. The Reader would see the new pim as the orginal “owner”. If this is pursued, engineering warns that it is always recommended to re-link when replacing a PIM . The two pims should never be powered up at the same time. If the PIMS are RS485 pims, restoring all links to a loaded (up to 16 device ) pim is not guaranteed. Re-linking all units is best.
