Will using a power supply not manufactured by Schlage or Von Duprin void the warranty?
No. If a customer uses a power supply from another manufacturer, Von Duprin will still warranty all parts and components from the Von Duprin QEL exit device. The warranty will be voided if the customer uses a power supply that does not meet the specification requirements of the QEL.

What if I have a technical question and I am using a power supply from another manufacturer.
Technical service can help trouble shoot the exit device to the best of their ability, but they cannot provide help or input with issues regarding wiring and the power supply. Our customers should contact the original installer or technical support team from the manufacturer of the power supply.
What type of testing has Von Duprin done with our QEL and other power supplies?
None. Von Duprin does not recommend the use of our QEL or EL with power supplies from other manufacturers. Von Duprin will not provide reliability testing with other power supplies.
Can custom wiring diagrams be provided if another manufacturer’s power supply is used?
No. Von Duprin cannot provide custom wiring diagrams for competitive power supplies. Should the customer need assistance, they can contact the power supply manufacturer.
