Can a 1 3/4" thick panel be used in a fire rated transom frame with a transom bar?

Transom panels are available in the following constructions:

  1. 1 3/4" thick panels with interior construction similar to an L-Series door installed into a frame either
    • Without a transom bar - referred to as "Flush"
    • With a transom bar
  2. 1/2" open edge laminated panels (2 steel sheets laminated to an interior core board) installed in frames with transom bar and with glazing beads.
    • 1/2" laminated panels are for use in fire rated or non fire rated openings.
  3. 3/8" open edge laminated panels (2 steel sheets laminated to an interior core board) installed in frames with transom bar and with glazing beads.
    • 3/8"  laminated panels are for use in non fire rated openings only.
