Bullet Resistant Doors

At this time, Allegion does not supply products with bullet resistant ratings.

Bullet resistant (BR) doors are designed to protect people and property from firearms’ bullets and shrapnel. They are frequently used in government buildings, financial institutions, high crime areas and other structures where increased safety is desired.

Door assemblies are tested in accordance with UL 752 for bullet resistant requirements. Doors range from having the ability to withstand 3 shots from a 9mm with a full metal copper jacket and lead core (UL level 1) to 5 shots from a 7.62 rifle with a full metal copper jacket and a lead core (UL level 8).
