Are thermal break frames available?

Steelcraft does offer Thermal Break Frameson the FT series. 

Thermal break frames are available as:

  • 3-sided, Borrowed light and Transom/Sidelight frames
    • Borrowed lights and Transom/Sidelight frames can be provided as face welded or knockdown for welding by others
  • Frames are available in 16 or 14 gauge steel
  • FT series frames meet the requirements of ANSI A250.8-2014
  • Hardware preparations & reinforcements are in accordance with ANSI A250.6-2003(R2009)
  • Jamb & Head components are factory assembled
  • Frames are provided with Die Mitered Corners
  • 3-sided frames can be supplied KD or Face Welded
  • Frames are Galvannealed A60 steel only
  • Frames are tested to ASTM C1363 - U-factor of 0.45
  • FT frames cannot be fire rated
  • Specific hardware preparations should be reviewed by Steelcraft for availability
