Apple Home Not in the "Works With" Section

The Schlage Encode - BE489 or the Schlage Sense - BE479, Discontinued cannot be connected to Apple HomeKit through the "Works With" section of the Apple Home app. To resolve this issue, the lock must be Factory Reset and re-paired with the Schlage Home app. Only the Schlage Sense Pro™ - BE889 and the Encode Plus - BE499 features HomeKit in the "Works With" Section of the Schlage Home App. 

How to Pair the Schlage Sense with Apple HomeKit

  1. Factory Reset the lock.
  2. Re-Pair the lock to the Schlage Home app.

  3. Enable Apple HomeKit during setup:
    During the pairing process in the Schlage Home app, you will be prompted to select Apple HomeKit to complete the setup for Apple Home Integration.
