98/9975 cannot get the trim to function properly.

Depends on what trim and what is meant by not functioning.  Most likely it is a thumb piece, knob or lever and they did not function the 7500 lock body, by turning the screw just under the cylinder hole all the way down to make the lock into a classroom function.
