The model 7500 locks did have a UL classification label in the past. In partnership with UL, it was discovered that the 7500 mortise lock could not have a UL classified label on it. The lock label was corrected with approval by UL in late 2022 to show that the 7500’s are able to be used with fire exit hardware which would have the UL Classified mark on its labeling. This is reflected in the UL file R4504 available on ul.com.
Summary: We can no longer provide 7500’s with a UL Classification label; however, the current label stating “For use with listed fire exit hardware” is in compliance with UL.
