The 320M(Mortise) amperage is higher at 24VDC( .45A ) than at 12VDC( .23A )
The unit uses one coil as opposed to two coils as in the all other mag locks. Thus as voltage increases through the same resistance the current increases. In two coil mags the resistance changes since the coils are in series for 24 volts and in parallel for 12 volt. This is the only mag lock we currently have in which the current is more at 24 V then at 12 V. Due to this fact a note in the pricebook states that if the unit is being used in a wood frame, one must run the unit at 12 V. Also note the holding force is greater at 24 V then at 12V
