The original 4B battery holder used with the AD and CO Series products is updated to improve performance. The issues addressed include:
- Improved spring design:
o The springs now easily collapses inside themselves instead of overlapping when batteries are installed
o Reduced spring wire gauge which lowers the spring force applied to the batteries
- New “Rolled” rivet design:
o Provides more reliable physical connections
o Additional rivets provided to securely hold the spring in place
All AD and CO Series locksets shipping from the factory with 4B battery packs after January 10th, 2013 will be shipped with the updated battery holder design.
