Is there a way to prevent an employee from making any type of punch (IN or OUT) during the lunch lockout period on a HP4000?

Yes, you can use a BACK Code list to control the type of punches that will be locked out until the timer has expired on any F-Series HandPunch that is break compliant.  By using 00 as the only value entered as a BACK Code, all subsequent punches of any kind will be prohibited until the timer has expired thus preventing the employee from making any type of punch during the lunch lockout period.  Using 00 as a BACK Code will work in the same way for any of the break compliant readers.
