Will an AD300 work with a Lenel panel? Currently the AD300 series lock will not directly integrate with the older Lenel panels. You will need to have a PIB300-2D in order to get it to connect properly, breaking out all the discrete door signals and Weigand communication to a corresponding Lenel two door interface panel. Also the inside push button feature on the privacy, office, and apartment function locks are not interpreted by the older Lenel panels currently so there will not be a change of lock status when pressed if your lock is equipped with one.
Will an AD300 work with a current Lenel panel? Will an PIM400-485 and AD400 work with a current Lenel panel? As of 2014, newer Lenel panels will support AD300 and PIM400-485 directly connected on RS-485, with AD400 connected wirelessly, see notes below:
Per Lenel information: Adoption of Schlage Protocol on Lenel Intelligent System Controllers (ISC) Lenel ISC’s will adopt the Schlage protocol when a PIM or an AD300 lock is connected to the RS-485 bus. By adopting the Schlage protocol, the entire RS-485 bus will now communicate via the Schlage protocol, and therefore cannot have any other downstream Lenel RIM’s or I/O’s. Note: The LNL-2220 is not capable of adopting the Schlage protocol and therefore cannot work with PIM400’s or AD300 locks
