What is UL294 or UL1034?

UL 294 is a standard for Safety Access Control System Units.  UL 294 applies to electrified hardware that control access but restricts free egress. UL 294 does not apply to electrified hardware that control access yet still allows for free egress.

UL 1034 is a standard for Safety Burglary-Resistant Electric Locking Mechanism. These types of locking mechanisms rely on an input signal or voltage from another device to lock or unlock the mechanism.
