What is the difference between WS401 & WS401 wall stops?

In the past, the WS401 and WS402 wall stops were separated due to having different mounting methods (drywall & wood).  They have since been combined into one product containing both mounting types by default called either the WS401/402CVX and WS401/402CCV.

Note: CVX stands for Convex rubber bumper and CCV stands for Concave rubber bumper.
