What does QEL X mean?

QELX is the name used for the actuating  motor assembly for Von Duprin AX devices.

AX device terminology means the device meets the 5lbf opening force requirement per 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible  Design (Chapters 404.2.7 and 309.4)

Any reference to a QELX motor means that it should be installed in an AX device.  AX  will be specifically labeled or etched on the center case of a Von Duprin exit device.
