Is there a Falcon MEL conversion kit, or does the complete device have to be replaced?
• There is a conversion kit for mechanical Falcon 24/25 devices (except mortise devices,
which are not compatible with MEL).
• The conversion kit cannot be used on EL devices. To convert an EL device to MEL, a new
complete MEL device would need to be ordered.
• Monarch devices cannot use the MEL conversion kit. To convert a Monarch device to
MEL, a new complete MEL device would need to be ordered. (Monarch devices were on
the market until 2009, then redesigned and rebranded as Falcon devices.)
To order the MEL conversion kit, specify part number with finish (US3, US4, US10,
US26, US26D, US32D, SP28, SP313). Specify CON if Allegion Connect is desired instead of standard cables.
